Different Type of Islamic Clothing

 
Islamic clothing is very unique and comes in different styles. There are millions of followers of Islam. Islamic clothing varies according to cultures, ethnicity and personal preferences. Islamic fashion outlines the code of modesty. However, there is no restriction to the choice of style, colour or the fabric used.

Islamic clothing includes Hijabs, Abayas, Kaftans, Jalabiya and Jilbab.

Hijabs: It is an arabic word which literally means cover. In clothing world, it is referred to as women's head scarf. Since, Islamic fashion has taken a new direction, there is no end to hijab fashiona nd style. Also, the fabric used.

Abayas: It is a loose black robe from full head to toe. It is generally worn by Muslim women. Now a days, some women choose to leave their face uncovered.

Kaftans: It is a long garment with wide sleeves, generally worn in countries like Iraq and Iran.

Jalabiya: It is an arab garment worn by both men and women. It is generally worn over other dress.

Jilbab: Jilbab is similar to Jalabiya. The mordern Jilbab covers the entire boy but not hands, face and head.
